Mill Pond Gardens

After leaving Starr's Mill, head across the street to Mill Pond Gardens.  You will find a great plant nursery with a friendly owner and lots of beautiful plants...and a few interesting critters.

The nursery has a huge selection of plants. This is one small view of the grounds.

There is a nice gift shop.

I loved the tin ceiling which is why it takes up half the picture here!

I bought four gigantic hanging baskets.  They threaten to topple my poles at home but for now are still upright.

I played with the bees again. This time on the Echinacea.

On to safer ground with these snowball bushes.  The bees didn't seem to like them as much.
I guess they go for color.

Mill Pond Gardens is definitely worth the visit if you are in the area.  Leave some space in your trunk or backseat because I doubt you will go home without a plant or two and if you are lucky, maybe a few critters will tag along!
