A Sleuth of Pandas
Working with kids is even more fun when you get to make these cupcakes!

You need some cupcakes from the bakery or here is a recipe from the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook.
Yellow Cake
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups milk
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, beat butter about 30 seconds. Add sugar and vanilla, beat till well combined. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 1 minute after each. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to beaten mixture, beating after each addition. Place batter in cupcakes tins lined with cupcake papers. Bake for 18 - 20 minutes. Makes 24 cupcakes.
Usually I make my own frosting but to make this a really quick and easy treat, I bought a can of frosting and the melting dots. You will also need a few chocolate chips.

To make the pandas, take two of the dipping chocolate disks and cut off a sliver on both sides. This makes the bottoms for the eyes. Add a dot of frosting and a chocolate chip to complete the eyes. Use the sliced off sliver for the mouth and then use a chocolate chip for the nose. Use two more dipping chocolate disks for ears. Easy and fun!
