Happy Birthday Nancy P!!!

I have to say Nancy P because I know 7 different Nancys. I think it's funny how the popularity of names comes and goes.

It is now hard to find "Julie" on a rack of mugs. Julie is no longer hip, I guess. One time recently a second grader I was teaching learned my first name and promptly responded that his grandmother is named Julie. Maybe if I spelled it Jul-E it would seem a little more modern. Or, how about Jewlie or Julee? Would that get me a spot back on the mug rack?

Another reason I know my name is not popular anymore is because I was at a card discount store and they had some (very old) personalized cards there and the only names left were Eunice, Betty, and Julie. The cards were pretty cheap by now. Eunice and I could have written to Betty. We would have told her to get on the Internet.

Lots of my friends end in "ie" sound. I guess that was popular back in the day. Cindy, Terri, Sherri, Nancy, Tracie, Lucie, Julie...most with middle names of Anne or Lynn. Just think, had we been born about 5 years later to hippie parents we could have been named Butterfly or Moonbeam.

So, in honor of this late night cupcake delivery...
Happy, Happy Birthday to Nancy P. Moonbeam! You are a beautiful birthday girl!

Couldn't resist a little birthday TP flair!
