Lakeside Retreat
Getting ready for Christmas is even more fun with 9 of your closest friends. We gathered at the lake to share food, fun, and Christmas ideas. Thanks, Kim, for hosting us in your wonderful lakeside retreat. (Beautiful house photo also courtesy of Kim.)

Here is a quick tour of our projects. We started with glass etching and hurricane globes.

A Christmas Cardinal ready for flight.

Next, we dumped some cinnamon and applesauce together for some scented ornaments. Some people did, in fact, measure but I pretty much just dumped. I'm livin' on the edge. They turned out beautifully and smelled so nice.

The lighting was dark because we crafted into the evening.

I took some brighter photos the next day of the other crafts.

A Shelf Elf

A Crystal Cardinal

A Scented Eye Pillow filled with Flax

Then we turned this scarf...

...into this stocking!

We headed out to the deck for this messy but magnificent craft.

And finally, the finished tree!

I like seeing the other trees reflected in the stones (and my camera, too.)

We had a few surprises along the way and then it was time to go home and start decorating for the holidays. See you at the brunch!
