Joanna's Christmas Votive

Quick!  Christmas is approaching fast!  Here's the speedy how-to for Joanna's Christmas votive.  You need a 3-inch diameter glass, about 20-24 cinnamon sticks, wired ribbon, a piece of 24-gauge wire, hot glue, and a Christmas greenery pick.

Step 1:  Get sick during the Lake House Craft Weekend.  We missed you Joanna but thanks for our craft goodie bag.

Step 2:
Use the hot glue to attach the cinnamon sticks to the glass.

Step 3:
Not required but I did it anyway.  I placed a piece of 24-gauge wire around the cinnamon sticks to help hold them on.  I wasn't convinced that the hot glue would stick on the glass forever and ever.  I'm not sure if this is an official  Boy Scout wire knot but I twisted it all around to make sure it would hold.  I don't think I have ever seen a Wire Knot merit badge or even a Cinnamon Votive merit badge so I think I am safe from Boy Scout ridicule.

Step 4:
Add the wired ribbon and an evergreen floral pick.

Step 5:  Drop in a tea light and enjoy!   Thanks Joanna!
