He is risen! He is risen indeed!
Hope you are enjoying your Easter.
My mom gave me this beautiful Easter lily for the table. We decided to have an Easter brunch. Originally my brother and family were supposed to come but sickness and bad scheduling made us postpone the visit until May. College exams are on the horizon and the girls need time to study.
For the brunch I used my Williams and Sonoma Easter plates. They are cute but small.
We loaded them up with French toast, bacon eggs, and cheese grits.
We also had a vegetable platter.
I made the platter from wooden craft fence pieces from Michaels, a styrofoam board and a bunny pick. I hot glued the fencing around the styrofoam and then I placed curly kale in the bottom. I placed the vegetables in rows on top and served it with some ranch dressing. It was cute. I saw a version of this in a magazine and cut out the picture about 15 years ago. Recently I was going through some cookbooks to give away and found the photo. I decided FINALLY to make it. It took some planning but I was so excited to finally accomplish this task!
We finished the meal with a delicious cake from Publix. I would have baked one myself from scratch but this was calling my name at the store. I love the blue frosting.
To my surprise the inside was layered with more blue frosting. Even better!
It is a beautiful day outside. I’m going out now to enjoy it. Happy Easter!
Happy Easter to you! Love the veggie tray!

I love your fenced in vegies…and the blue frosted cake…BEAUtiful
This looks like something Sally would do, making the fenced in vegtable tray and the cake was so pretty. Hope your Easter was a happy one. We were at friends for dinner after church and she decided to make it a picnic. It was fun. Love, Eleanor
