Easiest Recipe Ever!
This weekend I got to go watch my first cousin once removed (sounds fancy) play hockey at The Cooler in Alpharetta. Isn’t that the greatest name for an ice skating rink?
I wish we had an ice skating rink around Peachtree City because I love to ice skate. I’m not the greatest skater but I can go backwards, forwards, and stop and sometimes even throw in a single spin without falling. This skating, however, was impressive far beyond my beginner skills. I will share a few photos of the day and then share the easiest recipe ever.
Four years ago we met up with my cousin, cousin’s wife, and first cousin once removed (fun to say) at this same venue. Look at the changes in Tristan, my first cousin once removed. (I promise that’s the last time.)
He is an outstanding athlete and a super nice guy. So refreshing to see great kids doing great things!
The match was exciting and made me wish for winter sports, just a little, until I get cold and think how wonderful it is in Atlanta in the winter. But you have to admit EVERYONE secretly wishes they could drive a Zamboni!!! You know it’s true.
We went to lunch at The Swan Coach House. We actually saw two other men besides my poor outnumbered cousin. Seated from left to right is my cousin Billy who now goes by Will Cotton – check out his amazing art here, Christine, my Aunt Merry Carol, and my mother.
I got the Swan’s Favorite like I always do. You can find my copycat Swan Coach House Recipes here.
Being at The Cooler made me think of ice and then a tiny mental leap to ice cream. I don’t need Kevin Bacon and six degrees of separation to get me to ice cream. Bam! Did it in two measly steps. So tonight I made the easiest recipe on the face of the earth for 10 minute chocolate ice cream. It takes two ingredients and an ice cream freezer. That’s it.
Easiest Recipe for Chocolate Ice Cream
3 cups chocolate milk
1 cup half and half
Place milks in an ice cream freezer and chill according to manufacturer’s instruction. Place in freezer for an hour or more before serving.
I like mine a little under-churned because my machine makes my ice cream a little too airy for me but certainly make it to your preference. It is a little reminiscent of a Wendy’s Frosty but also reminds me of frozen hot chocolate if you’ve ever tried that. Delicious!
