We took a trip to the Outlet stores near us for a Saturday afternoon excursion. Olivia was fashionable as always and Chupa joined in the fun with his own pair of sunglasses.
Olivia tried to put “her baby” on a carousel ride but he couldn’t hold onto the horses. Imagine that!
(We’re kidding….)
My mom got a new Coach purse and was able to go into her closet later to coordinate beautifully.
Olivia wanted/needed a Pizza Cone Set from the Corning Ware store. It was on clearance so I was a bit skeptical about it being a culinary find. I figured it would join the other “As Seen on TV” junkety junk stuff in my pantry. For example, the Tortilla Bowl maker DOES NOT WORK. Greenicware Pans stick to food!! Ceramic knives chip easily!!! However, we were pleasantly surprised with these pizza cones.
We made a yummy yeast pizza dough.
3-2-1 Pizza Dough
3 cups all-purpose (or bread) flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup warm water (110 degrees)
1 package dry yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix together to make a pizza dough. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Way to go, Mario.
Each kit comes with a cutter and a crimper for perfectly shaped dough pockets.
Pop the dough on the cone to bake and then remove the cone in order to stuff with toppings. Mario is shown smelling the yeasty yummy cone straight from the oven.
Fill with your favorite toppings and then pop them back in the oven to heat.
The toppings sink when you heat them so I would suggest mounding the toppings. We did not so ours were a little concave.
Olivia shaved her mustache and thoroughly enjoyed her tasty pizza cone.
We liked them so much that we made a breakfast version the next morning with grits, bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese and avocado.
There is absolutely no end to the cone combinations in our future.
Conetopia is here!!
I may have to find my own Pizza Cone maker!!
